There's a place here in Oregon called Breitenbush hot springs
We are so glad we discovered it early on and we've been there countless times with and without children. We've learned over time, though, that going for the day can be a little painful and we feel like we are ripping ourselves away from a beautiful place so we try hard to go for overnights. The cabins are primitive but warm and oh, so cozy.
The last few times I've gone has been some fun peeps. First, with the McSpeert's from Seattle for a WHOLE weekend. What a treat!
Then just a few weeks later I went with a couple of other mamas and their girls. We stayed one night. The girl's had a blast playing monkey bingo, hiking, soaking, and just being silly.
My body has been feeling creaky so we'll see if we can make it back soon!

Spring is here
Spring is here and it's flying by. This year, for the first time, we have a garden! A community garden plot which is very close and we can even bike to. Scott has done really all of the gardening this year with the kids and they've spent hours there having fun in the dirt.
It's fun going back to the garden every week and seeing all the growth. The kids love it and they are really into helping. "I do it, I do it!"
We also made some labels for the garden and painted some birdhouses for spring and of course, Scott found a sweet spot in our yard for the birdhouses. We will see if we have any takers this spring.
Of course, spring is not complete without a visit to a friend's farm to visit the beautiful baby goats!
