Mamas

A really good friend's mama died on June 2nd, Henriette McGregor. It was a reminder to me of that intimate, spiritual, and deep connection that every person has with their mama regardless of their life circumstances or relationship (past or present). Somewhere in each person's soul is that connection. This picture was taken on New Year's Eve, 1997. I'm wishing all of the McGregor's many blessings as they grieve her absence from this physical world and celebrate her life.

Spring trip to Mt Shasta

In April, we drove down to Mt Shasta and stayed in an awesome big house with some friends from the Bay area. We hiked, played, cross country skied and visited Pluto cave. It was great to see Chris, Kari and their little guy Kai too. Beautiful area! We had a fine time! Oscar is becoming an enthusiastic hiker and Lucia got another turn on her skis.

Our most entertaining neighbors!

We have some neighbors that the kids absolutely adore-- turkeys! There's about a dozen of them that roam around- 2 or 3 males and the rest females. They are beautiful animals and our neighbors with gardens are really not happy about them. But when they come around our yard, our kids love it! They run out the door to watch them strut down the street!

March beach trip with Williams'

In March, we finally were able to make it to the Williams' beach house. We got a great mix of sun, cool & breezy days, and even some great thunderstorms! It was nice & relaxing and we even got to see some old friends from medical school which was an extra special treat! Lucia and Oscar got to spend some very precious times with the cousins!

Visit from the Cox's

I am behind but the Cox's did come to visit us a couple of months ago and the cousins had a fine time. Lucia was glued to Faith and I think she was hoping for a little more breathing room. It's tough being admired!
